It means – don’t worry about it. Being “in a relationship” is pointless if you rush into it. Remember the saying “fools rush in”?
A month of “just dating” is nothing in the long run. It sounds like you’re pretty young, I’m guessing. I can’t tell my sisters this enough – pressure a boy into becoming your “boyfriend” and he’ll lose interest. When he’s ready, he’ll tell you – and it’s usually in a very romantic way because he’s smitten. And if he’s not, you’ll see the signs loud and clear and be much better off not in a relationship.
Best advice, just enjoy and make the most out of every moment with him.

You have a lot more options of who to date in college and it’s more about really finding someone who’s personality you like as opposed to high school where it’s just about dating someone who’s hot (this isn’t the case for everyone I know but when I was in high school that’s pretty much how it was!) Also in college it’s much easier to date because you’re free from your parents.

I went on a date with a strict Indian girl once and her parents weren’t the nicest. Invite along a sibling so they know your not going to do anything and take it slow for a while. The main point is that you make her parents feel comfortable with the fact that you are a different race. After a while try meeting them to help assure them of your “honest intentions”. It helps if you have really good grades.

C-14 has a half life of about 5700 years, so the oldest that an object can be, to be reliably dated, using radiocarbon methods is about 50,000 years.
To determine the amount of original parent radioisotope in a sample when that particular radioisotope was “locked in” is calculated by determining the amount of parent radiosisotope and all of its daughter products by mass spectrometry. Add them up, and you’ve got the original amount before the radioactive decay process started.
The half life of a particular radioisotope (such as U235, C14, K40 etc) can be calculated by measuring the amount of energy emitted by beta particles, gamma rays, and especially alpha particles (helium nucelii) released during the radioactive decay process. If you can measure the amount of alpha particles being emitted from a known quantity of a radioisotope, then its a relatively straightforward mathematical calculation using the decay constant (k) to determine the half life, with the amount of energy released as alpha particles being inverse to the half life.
Radiometric dating is a perfectly sound concept of physics, and is difficult to argue against.

So what method did the creationists use that was more accurate than carbon dating in order to demonstrate this discrepancy? And wouldn’t that imply that we do, in fact, possess an accurate dating method?
P.S. I know carbon dating is no longer the main one, especially when it comes to much older specimens, but creationists seem to be generally stuck on these findings about the inaccuracy of carbon dating. That’s why I ask about that one.

I would now first agree that there would not be a marriage for at least 9 months. As much as possible, keep the sex out of it unless you’re partnered now. But sex has a tendency to screw with your good sense. If you can live through the battles and the whining from him/her for 9 months, you have a good chance of making it.

I eat meat and i also feel passionate about all those things. I think it shows how stupid vegetarians are that they don’t believe a meat eater can be in support of any of those things. Just because i eat meat does not mean I am trying to make all animals go extinct, while killing myself, and tearing down all the trees. Quite the opposite. In general I think I have more respect for animals than most vegetarians ever could, I grew up on a farm so I’ve always had a special place in my heart for animals. My health is extremely important to me, i watch what i eat and run about 20 miles per week. I also recycle and my frat house picks up garbage around campus for 4 hours each week. I also don’t have a car, I bike everywhere. Most vegetarians don’t even put forth HALF as much effort that I do. You sound very narrow minded.

If you are not married the chances you will be stationed together are slim to none. If you are guard or reserves you still might not drill in the same place depending upon MOS.
Since you both will be lower enlisted it isn’t going to be a problem. One of you can’t be in a leadership position of the other.
