Love That Lasts – Notebook – LoveMovies! – Movie Author Match – The Hendricks

The third key insight the Hendricksâ share is the importance of avoiding blame and criticism. In The Notebook there is heartbreak, betrayal and loss opening seemingly justifiable doors for blame and criticism. But while so many movies with similar themes allow their characters to slip into vengeance, bitterness, or cynicism, all the characters in The Notebook portray something much more positive. They own responsibility for their actions and practice empathy for others. Even the character Lon, who has plenty of reason to feel betrayed, avoids blame and criticism – of himself, Allie or Noah – as his own dream of love is crushed.

The fourth Hendricksâ insight is that creativity fuels long lasting relationships. Watched carefully, you will see how important this element is in the film. Noah releases Allieâs creative drive to play the piano, paint, and write the ânotebookâ itself. And Allie inspires Noah to build. Why Real Love Requries Honesty

DR. LISA LOVE REFLECTIONS

Recently, I picked up a great book, Act Like A Lady, Think Like a Man by Steve Harvey. Overall, I love the book except one part of it gave me pause and made me reflect. It was in the chapter about “Why Men Cheat” on their wives, girlfriends, etc. Harvey’s basic answers are: 1) They Can. 2) They Think They Can Get Away With It. 3) He Hasn’t Become Who He Wants and Needs to Be or Found Who He Truly Wants. 4) What’s Happening at Home Isn’t Happening Like it Used To. 5) There’s Always a Woman Out There Willing to Cheat With Him. And, ultimately he explains the man hasn’t got his priorities straight especially in having a real and meaningful spiritual practice in his life.

Ok. So far, so good. And, I also agree with what Harvey says regarding why a man is able to get away with his cheating and lying behavior with the women he is with. One reason this happens Harvey explains (using my paraphraze of what he says not his exact words now) is because any woman he is with hasn’t set high enough standards in her life to respect and love herself enough to see what is going on right in front of her and take a stand about it. She basically colludes in the notion that denial is good for you. After all, “What you don’t know won’t hurt you.” And, since her denial lets him get away with what he wants to, he is happy to join in on the denial party with her. But, denial is not good for you and it feeds one of my four major love myths I discuss in my Attracting Real Love course — love is blind. Wrong! Real love actually requires 20 – 20 vision because you only know how to really love yourself and others when you are seeing what you need to see clearly.

Which is why when I read this in Harvey’s book I decided I couldn’t disagree more. He says if a woman starts to catch on to a man’s cheating and lying behavior and starts to ask questions a man is going to just do more of his lying and denying game. Why? Harvey says men will do this “if we care about you. But, if not — if a man doesn’t see you fitting into his life plan — he won’t even bother with all of the covering up.” WHOA!!! Come on, Steve! I know the rest of your book also says that a man who really loves a woman won’t cheat, but let’s clear this up right now! Le’t not make it seem like somebody is cheating and hiding the truth from someone out of love. No way, no how!

So, why do we really lie? Plain and simple We’re afraid. Period. Why are we afraid? We don’t love ourselves or the people around us enough to live in truth. And, real love requires the truth. Not some blunt rude make people feel stupid and horrible version of truth. But, truth nonetheless! And, if you want proof of who has the most loving relationships going on between them? Well, it’s between people who can live in truth completely. They love and respect each other so much they want to be honest with them. They care about not hurting them. They care about being loved and respected in return for who they are flaws and all. And, they want a partner who can hear the truth and help bring it all into the realm of consciousness in a loving way and heal any fear in the realm of love. That means the more a couple lies to each other, the more they actually are in fear of each other, which means love really isn’t very present at all.

Now, why do we refuse to live in truth? It’s simple. We are thinking more about ourselves and coming from our egos. We simply don’t want to have to face the consequences of what we are doing and be forced to change our hurtful behaviors. We don’t want to feel bad about ourselves by having to see clearly what is really going on. Or, to share another quote, We tell lies when we are afraid… afraid of what we don’t know, afraid of what others will think, afraid of what will be found out about us. But every time we tell a lie, the thing that we fear grows stronger. ~Tad Williams. In short, we are afraid to love and feed fear in our lives instead.

Ok, I don’t expect people to be perfect. But, try this on for size. Next time you catch yourself or other people telling lies ask yourself this, “What am I afraid of and how does this reflect a lack of love in myself or a lack of love regarding the people I am with?” Then, ask this, “What would it be like to love myself and others enough to be willing to take the scrape, instead of give one?”

Notice this as well. Despite what people say finding out the truth doesn’t hurt! What hurts is discovering how much there was a lack of love and how real love was replaced by deception and fear. Remember, real love heals it doesn’t hurt. And, though it may hurt to find out about lies, shedding them actually opens you up to attracting more real love in your life creating space for the rapture described in the main quote above — for yourself and the people around you.

Most guys if not all men are generally a proud lot and will not easily admit to liking or being in love with a woman they are dating. Question is, how then can you tell if your man feels the same way you do?

Well, try judging by the way he treats you when in the company of his closest friends. When a guy is deeply in love with you, he will tell his closest friends.

Guys generally find it much easier admitting their love for a woman to a close friend than in telling the woman they are in love with. He’s most likely in love with you if he lets you meet some of his close friends. If his guy friends treat you with respect, do not seem to alienate you during conversations even in his absence, it is probably a sign he told them how he truly feels about you.

Nothing in this world will stop a guy in love from treating his lady like a queen when in the company of his friends. Judging by the general reactions and comments of some of his closest friends, you will know if your man shares the same love you have for him.

If a guy likes you, he will definitely call you when he asks for and you give him your phone number. Don’t worry if he doesn’t call you the same day, as he probably does not want to appear to be too desperate.

If he truly felt something for you, it will not take long for him to call you and ask how you are doing, and even ask you out on a date.

Do you sometimes catch him unawares staring at you when in a social or public place? Well, it is probably signs of the guy’s interest in you.

If it is the first time you are meeting the guy and he likes you, he will most likely find an ingenious way to approach you and introduce himself. If by any unlikely chance he doesn’t end up asking for your phone number, chances are he may be shy.

Don’t worry, if he likes you and you somehow feel attracted to him, nothing will stop the guy from tracking you down. This you can tell judging by what he asks you like say ‘are you from around here?’

When your man is in love with you, he may admit and tell you openly how he truly feels. If he doesn’t do that and you are wondering or even doubting his love, chances are, he most probably told you he loves you and you missed it during a conversation or an argument you recently had with him. Always try to listen closely to what he tells you and mince his words carefully.

Reason most guys find it hard to openly admit their love or state how they truly feel towards a woman they are dating is due to fear of rejection.

If you like a guy and are in a steady relationship with him, it is in the best interest of the both of you, for you to constantly reassure him of your true love and affection.

Constantly flirting with other guys in his presence may hurt his man ego and limit his trust towards you. Make your guy feel he’s the only one for you and that your relationship with him is equally important to you. Do that and he will reciprocate and tell you how he truly feels about you and even say I love you.

If you meet a guy you like and feel courageous enough to want to approach and seduce him, stop! A guy will most likely warm up to your advances but in the back of the guy’s mind, he will most likely end up dismissing you as being either too desperate or loose, and not his type of woman to date, even though he may have felt something for you too.

Though it is not bad to let a guy know you like and want him. Just lead him to believing he’s the one chasing after your love. No matter whether he’s a Leo, Scorpio, Virgo, Taurus, Libra, Sagittarius, Gemini, Aquarius, Aries, Pisces, Cancer, or a Capricorn, guys have a natural tendency to be the hunter and not the prey. If you lure him into seducing you, chances are you will most likely end up winning over his heart and love just like you desired.

Watch how you dress in public places especially when you are intent on getting a date with a guy, and hope for a lasting relationship. Most men will easily give in to a date with a skimpily dressed woman just to have fun with her then dump her later.

Publicly displaying too much of your body assets will only make you end up with guys genuinely not interested in how you feel, but who’s only interest in you, is in the way you look.
If you seek a long-term relationship with a guy you really like, dress well while in a social or public place.

If a guy tells you that he likes or loves you, it will be in your best interest to believe him. Doubting your guy or even making him feel like you are not good enough for him, will go along way in alienating him from you than in strengthening your relationship bond. The reason he’s with you and not another woman is because he likes and loves you.

Finally, if a guy tells you he likes you but you don’t feel the same way he does, it is best you tell him. A guy will take it as a challenge to continue chasing after a woman or girl they like even if she does not like him and gives him a hard time, hoping she will one day reciprocate and admit to liking or even loving him too.

You can not force any good man to love you. If you are looking for your Mr. right, he may just be the guy you just met or are currently seeing. Show or teach the man how you want to be loved and you will discover true love.

Men often find it nerve-wracking to talk a girl up, because of their age-old perception that females are complicated and cannot be figured out. As a result, the first attempts at a conversation are usually awkward and can turn a potential girl friend off. In reality, there are certain secrets men need to learn before they can appreciate female complexity. If your question is “what do girls like to talk about”, here are the top three related tips you can easily win her heart:

1. Let her take the lead.

Women were created with the gift of gab, so they talk more. Unlike men who prefer quiet time, women can talk for long hours as long as they are interested. If you don’t know what topics interest her, begin with simple ones that both of you know well about. For example, if you share a common interest in movies, ask her about the latest movie she has seen. If you have seen the movie, then you will have something to contribute to the conversation. If you haven’t, you can boost her morale by asking her whether she would recommend it to you or not.

What if you are new to this and don’t even know what you both like in common? Don’t worry. Just make some small talk, ask her what she’s up to, and she’ll tell you what she’s doing, so use that as a clue. For example, she is into fashion designing. 2. Show that you are listening and really listen.

You are trying to impress the woman of your dreams, but let this not be your primary concern. If you are naturally humorous, this can be an advantage for you. When you become successful at making a girl laugh, you are surely on her way to winning her heart. Now think about really what want to gain and what is the purpose of dating, do you want to married in coming years so you may approach accordingly. If you are not taking the dating seriously then you may ask a question yourself. If it is only pure sex then ask to yourself what is an idea with those your hope to date.

Now look surrounding yourself with people who will support you in dating aims. By following the first four tips you will feel better. Now avoid sitting around with those friends who are negative about love and relationships. Now may start attending social functions frequented by singles. Now you may have dinner party too who are interested in dating and love.

Now you may just find those and have meeting who are expert to fix the dating. If your are looking for a glamour girl or boy and want to date some one trendy and gorgeous, just know about others will expect you to be the same.

Interests and Hobbies

One of the easiest things that girls can talk to you about is the things that they like to do on their spare time. This is a good topic to start with because it will allow you to get to know them better and will let them talk freely which shows that you are interested in what they have to say. Begin by asking a simple question on what they would usually do when they are not busy with their school or office chores.

When girls share about the things that interest them, it is important that you allow them to do so without interruptions. Unless of course if they ask for your opinions, but if not, then avoid interrupting her. There will be so many things that you will discover about her, just by listening to her about the things they want and do not want.

School/Work Related Activities

If you happen to share a work place or a school with the girls that you want to talk to, then what they do there would be another one of the things to talk to girls about. Girls like it when they are asked about their day and how it’s going and since they spend most of their time at school or at work, there will be a lot that they can talk to you about. Don’t be shy about sharing your activities as well – you never know just what other common things that you can find out about each other just by doing so.

There are times that the girls that you are having conversation with don’t study or work in the same place as you are. But don’t fret, because you can use this as an opportunity for you to make them want to know more about what you do. So share to them about your school or your work, and allow them to comment or share their piece of idea about what you do, because girls would appreciate you for listening to their ideas or opinions.

Funny and Memorable Life Experiences

Although not all people are comfortable with sharing about their life experiences, but if you just ask the girl in the right way, then she should be able to share to you her life experiences, whether good or bad. Start with the funny experiences and do so casually and without making a big deal out of it. If they don’t immediately warm up to you, you can try sharing yours first, that way they will get out of their shell and do the same. What have women got that men just can’t stop going crazy over them? Is it because of love or lust? What makes those two diverge? At the early age of puberty, men feels fascinated to women. They have the penchant also to be attracted to older girls even at the age of 7. This is because older girls are a lot sexier and attractive. It looks they see their mother in older girls. Younger men feel pampered by older women. Older women tend to understand younger men more particularly in their mood. But as they grow older, men love women younger than them or at their age.

How can you actually define love or differentiate love from lust? Is it love that men felt when they spot a woman and feel something? Well I could declare that it would take time to finally conclude that what he or she feels is already that issue called love.

Love is past physical, it is something you can’t touch. When you can forgive and forget what a person has caused you, then that is love.

Lust, on the other hand is still an feeling that is merely physical.This is linked with the feeling of craving a person sexually but oftentimes leads to Love and wanting to impart something beyond physical.

You can say you really love a person if in a longer span of time, you remain fascinated to him or her physically and later on turned into something sensitively distinctive.

Steps to draw men:

1) Fill up your love tank- love the people surrounding you, welcome their decency, love yourself. Men are more fascinated to women who illustrate that they are to be respected and valued. You have to take the chance, for it might be precious in the end and anyway life is a risk you have to take and that incorporates loving someone.

Men have crabbiness too that need women to shut up so it is important to know the nature of men. Listen and don’t nag but be sharp in studying the thin line that separates listening and enabling your partner to fool you. Solving troubles in a relationship is in the hands of a woman.
